• approx 380 – 420 m [415 – 459 yds] of fingering or sport-weight yarn
• circular knitting needle size matching the yarn used
• sewing needle for weaving-in ends
• scissors
• beads (e.g. Rocailles)
• a piece of very thin wire or dental floss

Rivendell

• approx 470 m [514 yds] of laceweight to fingering weight yarn
• circular knitting needle size 3 – 4 mm [US 3 – 6]
• sewing needle
• scissors
