Crochet an Easter bunny – a crochet pattern as a PDF for instant download, in English and in German, with two bunnies in purple and white in one file.

Two small Easter bunnies made from very few pieces: one body and two long ears, and that is all either of them needs. The purple bunny has a softly curved shape with a hint of a waist, the white one a smooth, egg-shaped body – two separate sets of rounds, while the ears are the same for both.

Both work up from left-over yarn, the nose is embroidered on and the eyes are half pearls that get glued on. Only chains and single crochet are used. Every round is written out separately with the stitch count at the end, and photos accompany the steps.

Chains, single crochet, magic ring, increases and decreases. That is all you need – there are no double crochets and no special techniques. Every part is worked in rounds.

Every round is written out separately, the stitch count is given at the end of each round, and the steps are shown in photos. At the end the ears are sewn on, the nose is embroidered and the half pearls are glued on as eyes.

Gauge: 24 stitches × 22 rows = 4 × 4 inches.
Worked with a size G hook (4 mm) and yarn for hook size 3 – 3.5 mm. The materials listed are enough for both bunnies together.
With a different yarn or hook size the bunnies turn out smaller or larger accordingly.

For both bunnies together:

• left-over yarn in purple, for hook size 3 – 3.5 mm (I used Schachenmayr Bravo)
• left-over yarn in white, for hook size 3 – 3.5 mm
• some stuffing
• four half pearls, 6 mm
