The little polar bear is knitted mostly in one piece: starting from the shoulders, you work the head on one side and the hindquarters on the other, then add the belly, ears, paws and tail. White mohair fluff, dark knitted-in eye sockets, paws with heels and embroidered toes and claws bring him to life. The pattern also includes the brown bear version and a German translation.
Intermediate. You should be comfortable with knit and purl stitches, increases and decreases, short rows (wrap & turn), intarsia in small areas and picking up stitches. For assembly you need mattress stitch and backstitch.
