Crochet Pattern Baby Overall Rudolph 2-in-1 Jacket & Romper Cozy Wrap Look

Product description

Create an ultimate cozy highlight for the little ones!

With this detailed crochet pattern, you can easily remake the sweet 2-in-1 Baby Combination Set "Rudolph" in sizes 50 to 92 (approx. 0 to 24 months).

The special feature of this design: It is completely modular!
You decide whether you want to crochet just a casual, everyday baby jacket or extend the set directly into a closed, warm romper/overall.

The cozy oversized fit offers plenty of freedom of movement and fits easily over regular clothing.

A real eye-catcher and wind protection is the asymmetrical wrap-look across the tummy: thanks to the wide overlap, baby's sensitive belly stays snug and warm even on stormy days.

What you can crochet with this pattern:

  • A cozy baby jacket with a hood in a modern wrap-look.
  • A complete, closed overall/romper with cute reindeer appliques (antlers, ears, Rudolph nose, and eye discs).
  • A simple, neutral basic version without decorations in any color of your choice.

I am absolutely thrilled if you give Rudolph a new home and we get to crochet this wonderful project together.

Thank you so much for supporting my small label!

I wish you lots of joy making those stitches fly!

Materials List

Recommended Yarn
A soft, baby-safe, and easy-care all-purpose yarn is recommended (e.g., 100% acrylic like Schachenmayr Bravo or a soft baby yarn) with a yardage of approx. 133–150 meters (145–165 yards) per 50 grams (DK / Sport weight).
The label should recommend a needle/hook size of 3.0 to 4.0 mm.
Note: We intentionally crochet the main pattern extra loosely using a larger hook size (4.5 mm) so that the fabric drapes wonderfully soft.

Yarn Consumption for the Main Color (MC – Brown):

  • Size 50/56: approx. 200 g (4 skeins)
  • Size 60/66: approx. 240 g (5 skeins)
  • Size 68/74: approx. 280 g (6 skeins)
  • Size 74/80: approx. 310 g (7 skeins)
  • Size 80/86: approx. 350 g (7 skeins)
  • Size 86/92: approx. 400 g (8 skeins)

Contrast Colors (Perfect for using your yarn remnants/scrap yarn!):

  • Just a few grams in a similar yarn weight from your stash:
  • CC1 (Black): For the hoof cuffs on sleeves and legs
  • CC2 (Beige): For the bright, friendly inner ears
  • CC3 (Red): For the bobble Rudolph nose
  • White/Off-White: A small leftover piece for the cool, large comic-eye discs

Tools & AccessoriesCrochet Hooks:

  • US 7 / 4.5 mm (for the main pattern) and US G/6 / 4.0 mm (for cuffs and appliques)
  • Buttons: 4 pieces of beautiful, decorative wooden buttons (or buttons of your choice). Tip: They should be sized to fit perfectly into the natural gaps of your stitches so no buttonholes are needed!
  • Eye Pupils: 2 pieces of small black buttons for the pupils on the white eye discs

For Assembly:

  • Some fiberfill/toy stuffing (for the nose and antlers)
  • A blunt tapestry/yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers (SM)
