Knitting Pattern Newborn Baby Blanket, Double Sided Knitting inkl. tutorial

Product description

This sweet baby blanket is worked in the double knitting technique, making it especially warm and cosy. The design is clearly visible on both sides, so the blanket looks beautiful from every angle. It makes a wonderful gift for a birth or a child’s birthday.

The pattern includes a chart as well as row-by-row instructions detailing how to work each row. Since this potholder is made using the double-face technique, all stitches are worked as stitch pairs, and this is reflected in the row instructions. For example, the row-by-row instructions might look something like this:

Row: 1 E, 13 M, 1 C, 5 M, 1 C, 35 M work this 3x, 1 E
E: Edge Stitch : (at the beginning of the row slip the two colours together as knitted, at the end of the row purl the 2 colours together)
M: Main Colour: (Work the Main Colour of this side knit and the contrast Colour purl)
C: Contrast Colour: (Work the Contrast Colour of this side knit and the Main Colour purl

It can be knitted in double-face, as explained here, resulting in two front sides, or it can be knitted as a single-sided, multicolored pattern ( which is not explained). The pattern includes a 6-page double-face knitting tutorial

In Reihe 18 fehlen einige Maschen.
