Stripes are always a good idea, so it was absolutely clear that the SAEND-T needs a sweater sibling. While the overall concept
stays the same, the SAEND sweater incorporates some additional design details as well. This simple shaped sweater features
some interesting techniques and finishing touches. The construction is similar to a classical raglan style, but you work
increases not only besides the typical raglan columns, but also along the garter stitch front panels to create long triangles
that run into the hem later. A similar triangular garter detail is created over the complete sleeve length until cuff. The collar,
hem and cuffs are worked in 1x1 ribbing to create a classical sweater look. You never get bored during the knitting: although
there is a lot of stockinette stitch involved, the decreases and garter stitch portions, as well as the color changes every other
round, make an interesting knit without being too complicated.
The MERRY MERINO is the perfect yarn for this sweater, it’s soft and drapey and it comes in a beautiful range of color.
