Knitting pattern, Lihan cardigan kids, 0-7 jahre

Product description

DESCRIPTION
This cardigan is the sibling to the #lihansweater and to the #lihandress. It’s a cute cardigan that comes in a ton of sizes and options. It has a circular yoke top-down construction: you can decide if you like a plain stockinette stitch cardigan with nearly invisible increases or if you prefer a summery, eyelet increase or or a textured nupp increase. You can also choose from a range of options for the sleeves: short sleeves, or straight or shaped long sleeves. You can mix and match as you prefer.
We love to see your knits in social media. Please use #lihancardigan and #ivnknit

Size Information

SIZES
0-3m (3-6m / 6-12m / 18m) 2y (3y / 4y / 5y /7y)
Finished chest measurements:
47(49 / 51 / 54,5) 57 (59,5 / 63,5 / 66,5 / 70) cm
19 (19.75 / 20.5 / 21) 22.75 (23.75 / 25.5 / 26.5 / 28) inches
Sizing is a guide only and you should pick the finished measurement size closest to the child’s measurements
plus 5-10 cm (2-4 inches) of positive ease. The cardigan has a relaxed fit, so if you like a more fitted version just choose a size smaller or less ease. But as children grow quickly, you can’t go wrong with knitting a larger size!

Materials List

NEEDLES
Circular needles to obtain gauge: one larger (recommended 4,0 mm (US 6)) and one smaller (recommended 3,0mm
(US 3)) with a length at least of 60 cm (24 inches)
Optional: double-pointed needles in both sizes (if you don’t want to work the sleeves with the magic loop method)
The i-cord edge can be worked with the circular needle.

YARN
DK weight or yarn to obtain requested gauge
Eg: Sandnes Garn Duo (DK; 55% Merino wool, 45% cotton; 124 m (136 yds) per 50g), colourway 2124 Aksgul
Or Sandnes Garn Line (worsted weight; 53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen; 110 m (120 yds) per 50g)

METRES NEEDED
Long sleeve version: 230 (260 / 300 / 335) 380 (410 / 485 / 540 / 610) m
(255 (285 / 330 / 370) 420 (450 / 530 / 590 / 670) yds)
Short sleeve versions: 170 (190 / 210 / 240) 260 (280 / 320 / 350 / 390) m (190 (210 / 230 / 265) 285 (310 / 350 / 385 / 430) yds)
Amounts stated are calculated for simple increases for the yoke (YOs / M1s), for nupps you need quite a bit more
Yardage may vary a bit from knitter to knitter, yarn to yarn! Have always a bit more in stock to be on the safe side.

6(7 / 7 / 8) 8 (9 / 9 / 10 / 8) buttons, diameter around 0,8-1,2 cm (0.25-0.5 inches

Raffiniertes Muster!

      viel Freude beim
      Stricken
