Ein Zopfmuster besteht meist aus 2 "Strängen" die nach rechts oder nach links verschlungen werden bzw zueinander oder auseinander driften.
Bei den Keltischen Zopfmustern sind die Verzopfungen sehr viel komplexer, da mehrere "Stränge" miteinander verschlungen und verflochten werden. Sie sehen aus wie Ornamente.
