Bookmark "Butterfly"

Materials:

– alize miss 50 gr/280 m

–1,25 mm crochet hook

– a sewing needle, a pair of scissors, some plastic napkin

Abbreviations:

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

inc – increase

dec - decrease, two single crochets together

hdc – half double crochet 

dc – double crochet

Bookmark «heart»

The halves (2 parts)

1. 15 ch

2. From the 2rd ch from the hook, crochet 12 sc, 1 dec, 1 ch, turn

3. 1 dec, 11 sc, 2 ch, turn

4. 11 sc, 1 dec, 1 ch, turn

5. 1 dec, 10 sc, 2 ch, turn

6. 10 sc, 1 dec, 1 ch, turn

7. 1 dec, 9 sc, 1 ch, turn

8. 6 sc, 2 dec, 1 ch, turn

9. 1 dec, 4 sc, 1 dec, 1 ch, turn

10. 1 dec, 2 sc, 1 dec, 1 ch, turn

11. 2 dec

Crochet around the edge sc.  Bind off. Cut off thread.

And you get these two halves of the heart.

Butterfly

Small wing (2 pcs.)

1. Crochet 6 sc in a Magic Ring

2. 6 inc = 12 sc

3. (1 sc, 1 inc) х 6 = 18 sc

4. 3 sc, 4 ch. Further down the chain (From the 2rd ch from the hook, crochet) 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 sc in a ring.

And again on the "offshoot"1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc. Bind off. Cut off thread.

Large wing (2 pcs.)

1. Crochet 6 sc in a Magic Ring

2. 6 inc = 12 sc

3. (1 sc, 1 inc) х 6 = 18 sc

4. (2 sc, 1 inc) х 6 = 24 sc

5. 3 sc, 4 ch. Further down the chain (From the 2rd ch from the hook, crochet) 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 sc in a ring.

And again on the "offshoot"1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc.

Down again:  1 sc, 1hdc, 1 dc, 1 sc  in a ring.

Now we need to sew together a large and small wing.Bind off. Cut off thread.

Now crochet the entire wing with sc in the same color or another color of your choice. On the edge of the wing pieces you can add 1 pico (3 ch). See photo. So do both halves of the butterfly.

Butterfly body:

1. Crochet 6 sc in a Magic Ring

2. 13 ch. Further down the chain (From the 2rd ch from the hook, crochet) 5 sc, 5 hdc, 2 dc, 1 sc in a ring

Sew the resulting part to one part of the wing. Do not forget to add tendrils.

Now from the plastic part we cut a strip-basis of the bookmark. Mine is 28cm long and 2.5cm wide. You can make the size you want.

Fold the strip in half. Fold each edge a little more (about 1.5 - 2 cm). On these edges we will glue parts of a butterfly or heart. So you can put your parts to these strips to make sure they match. Glue. See photo.
