Product description

Some years ago I created this lovely design for a blanket for my daughter. Until today she feels safe and sheltered with it. Maybe you, too, will enjoy knitting «A hug from the heart” for someone you love.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

This pattern is suitable for advanced knitters.

I will not give too detailed instructions, rather will you get a short description how I made the blanket and the knitting chart for the motif, so you will be able to implement your own ideas. I worked the blanket in the double knitting technique, but you could surely use the same motif for a fair isle / stranded colourwork knitting project.

Size Information

The motif consists of 140 stitches in width and 160 rows in height. You can enlarge it by adding stitches and rows before and after the motif, of course. The size of the finished motif depends on your personal gauge.

Materials List

You will need two different colours of the same yarn quality.

The yarn consumption is individual, depending on your project and your gauge.

Kleine Decke

Ich fand das Bild der Decke toll. Leider ist sie zu schmal geworden obwohl ich die Seiten breiter gemacht habe. Trotzdem finde ich das Motiv richtig schön. War aber auch sehr anstrengend zu stricken. Doch am Ende war ich zufrieden.

    Lieben Dank, das freut mich, dass Du so eine schöne Decke stricken konntest, wenn auch etwas klein. Vielleicht magst Du nach einer Pause das Motiv irgendwann noch einmal in etwas grösser stricken 💕

    Liebe Birgit
    Doubleface zu erlernen ist eigentlich nicht so schwierig, man braucht am Anfang einfach ein bisschen Geduld und Durchhaltevermögen, bis man das Prinzip intus hat und die Fadenspannung gut klappt. Wenn das mal geschafft ist, sind es ja nur rechte und linke Maschen.
    Diese Decke ist allerdings tatsächlich kein gutes Einstiegsprojekt, dafür ist das Motiv viel zu gross. Es gibt ganz viele für Doubleface Anfänger geeignetere Anleitungen in meinem Shop oder auch im Blog. Bei kleineren Projekten hat man schnell ein Erfolgserlebnis, das zum Weitermachen motiviert. Und irgendwann, wenn man ein bisschen Übung hat, gelingen auch die grösseren Projekte.
    Vielleicht magst Du es ja zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt nochmals probieren 🤗

Tolles Muster

Meine Enkelin hat ein Herz-Kissen mit Armen dran, sie nimmt es auch mit in den Urlaub, also werde ich eine passende Decke mit diesem schönen Motiv fertigen. Danke für die Anleitung 🙏

Diese Anleitung ist sehr gut geschrieben. Sie ist kostenlos und macht viel Spaß zu stricken. Ich habe drei Decken gestrickt. Kann ich mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Lg Ulla

    Hallo, mal sehn ob das meiner SchwiTo gefällt 🤔, muss aber erstmal testen, ob ich mit dem Doubleface klarkomme.
    Schön wäre (als Anhaltspunkt), wenn ich die Nadelstärke, und den Materialverbrauch sowie die Größe der Decke erfahren könnte. Damit ich mich zwecks dem Verbrauch richten kann. Sie hätte gerne eine Kinderwagen/Autodecke für das Winterbaby 😉 Vg Susanne

      Hallo Susanne

      Nadelstärke, Verbrauch und Grösse sind sehr abhängig von dem Garn, das Du für die Decke verwendest, deshalb kann ich dazu keine konkrete Angabe machen. Die Decke auf den Fotos habe ich für meine Tochter als "Therapiedecke" gestrickt mit sehr dicker Baumwolle und dünnen Nadeln, damit sie extra schwer wird - das würdest Du als "normale" Babydecke ja auf keinen Fall wollen.

      Beim Unterpunkt "Grössenangaben" findest Du die Maschen- / Reihenangaben (140 Maschen x 160 Reihen) für das Motiv. Wenn Du mit Deinem Garn z.B. eine Maschenprobe von 25 Maschen x 35 Reihen = 10 x 10 cm hast, wird das Motiv ca. 56 cm breit und 46 cm hoch. Für die gewünschte Höhe der Decke kannst Du dann unten und oben zusätzliche Reihen einfarbig stricken (und natürlich auch links und rechts Maschen ergänzen, wenn die Decke breiter werden soll).

      Um den Materialverbrauch ungefähr abschätzen zu können, könntest Du mit dem Garn eine Maschenprobe machen, diese wiegen und dann auf den Gesamtverbrauch hochrechnen.
      Hier ein Anhaltspunkt von einer anderen Decke, die ich in Doubleface gestrickt habe: Garn mit 1000 m / 250 g, Deckengrösse 72 x 97 cm bei einer MP 25 Maschen x 35 Reihen = 10 x 10 cm => Verbrauch 2 x 860 m (also 860 m / 215 g pro Farbe).

      Hallo Heike, grundsätzlich könntest Du es häkeln, allerdings wird das Motiv beim Häkeln von den Proportionen anders (d.h. es wird höher), weil die Häkelmaschen höher sind als gestrickte Maschen. Du könntest es als normales Einstrickmuster verwenden, dabei bleiben die Proportionen ungefähr gleich. Du darfst Dich gerne bei mir per PN melden, wenn Du noch mehr Fragen hast. Liebe Grüsse Sonja
