Do you want to knit a children's sweater or vest? With this pattern, both work. You have the choice between 3 sleeve variants: Short sleeves and long sleeves with/without pattern (see the drawing in the pictures). This sweater is knitted in one piece from top and seamless. With this step-by-step pattern, you can easily rework the sweater. Even ambitious beginners can knit the sweater.

The story behind the design:
"La lune" is the French name for the moon. My daughter and now also my son are very interested in the moon. When my daughter was 2 years old, she wanted to go to the moon. To do this, she wanted to get a ladder. The colorful pattern of the sweater is supposed to represent these ladders.

The choice of size should be based on the final dimensions of the chest circumference. The age label is just there to give a reference. I recommend for children 3-4 inch (7.5- 10 cm) ease. Children don’t like too tight clothes..
For example: if your child’s chest measures 22.2“ and you like 3 inch ease, pick the
3/4 years size.

What material you need
DK(8ply) weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge for example: DROPS Lima
Circular needle and double pointed needles 3.0 (U.S. 3) and 3.5 mm (U.S. 4) or any size required to obtain the stockinette stitch gauge
Other: 9 markers, 2 stitch holders or scrap yarn

Gauge:
22.5 sts x 32 rows = 10cm/ 4 inches in stockinette stitch after blocking on
larger needles
