I really wanted to knit a pair of pants for my son. "A pair of pants where everything stays in and the back stays warm." In addition, the pants should grow with the child. Since I could not find any patterns online that met my requirements, I wrote a pattern myself.
The dungarees are knitted from top to bottom. The pants have practical cuffs, which can initially be turned over and later used as an extension. The suspenders also support the growth of the pants.

You should be able to:

• Knitting buttonholes
• Short rows
• Kitchener stitch

0-3 months wc: till 46cm/ 18,4” – hc: till 48cm/ 19”
6-12 months wc: till 51cm/ 20” – hc: till 53,5cm/ 21”
18-36 months wc: till 55cm/ 21,7” – hc: till 57,5cm/ 22,6”

• DK(8ply) weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge for example: DROPS Cotton Merino
• Circular needle and double pointed needles 3 mm (US 3) or any size required to obtain the stockinette stitch gauge
• Other: Markers, 3 stitch holders or scrap yarn, 2 buttons (15mm/ 0.6”)

0-3 months 400 yards; 360 m
6-12 months 530 yards; 480 m
18-36 months 660 yards; 600 m

Gauge:
22 stitches and 33 rows = 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm)
