Crocheting soft baby & children's socks in a knitted look for your child or grandchild is quick and easy with this pattern!

This PDF crochet pattern consist of illustrated tutorial for crocheting baby & children's socks with the pattern in knitted look for sizes 0 m. to 4 y. These socks can either be crocheted in the shape of a strawberry or striped (explained in the pattern).

Of course you can crochet these socks in your favourite colours and combine the colours differently. You can crochet these socks for winter as well as for summer, depending on the wool (see "Materials").

Note for the sl. st: These socks are partly crocheted with the sl st. Crocheting with the sl st, crocheted either in the back loops only or in the front loops only, requires a little practice. Before you start crocheting, practice with an old thick wool (wool scraps). After a few exercises, crocheting with the sl st will work very quickly. Otherwise: crochet very loosely, take the crochet hook 0.5 to 1 size larger than recommended for your wool.

The pattern is intended for beginners as well as advanced crocheters, but is not suitable as a first project.

You should have the following crochet skills:
sl st - slip stitch
ch - crochet chain
fch - foundation chain
sc - single crochet)
BLO - in the back loop only

• Baby Merino from Drops, composition: 100% virgin wool, run length approx. 175m / 50gr. / 50g. For the socks "Strawberry" 50g each of the colors green and red and scraps of the color yellow and for the socks "Classic" 50g each of the colors turquoise and petrol. Alternative for summer: "Saffron" from Drops, 100% cotton, 160m/50 gr, same quantity as for winter
• Crochet hook no. 3.5 (EU-size), or no. 4, if loose crochet of dc. in "knit stitch" and ch. does not work
