IMPORTANT: You are buying a PDF crochet pattern, NOT the finished cushion.
This pattern is included in English AND German – both PDF versions are part of the download.
A big Monstera leaf as a cuddly cushion for your sofa, your armchair or your reading corner. The leaf is worked row by row in single crochet and shaped as you go, with the typical splits and lobes. All green, or half green and half white – both versions are in the pattern.
Photo note: The crocheted item is real and made by me. On some photos the background was AI-generated or digitally edited.
If you run into any trouble, or if an error has slipped in somewhere: please message me FIRST, before leaving a review – we'll sort it out together!
You should be familiar with:
• chains, single crochet, slip stitches and double crochet (US: dc)
• increasing and decreasing
• working back and forth in rows with a turning chain
• sewing pieces together and stuffing them
All abbreviations are listed on the first page. The whole leaf is worked in single crochet – there are no unusual techniques, but with 166 steps the pattern is a long one.
Finished size: approx. 50 cm / 20 in tall and 40 cm / 16 in wide.
Gauge: 22 stitches × 22 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in.
Crochet hook size 3 mm.
With a different yarn or hook size the cushion turns out bigger or smaller. In some rows not all stitches are worked – this is part of the decreases and not a mistake.
• Schachenmayr Soft & Easy in green (00071): approx. 400 g for an all-green leaf
or approx. 300 g green + 100 g white for the half-white version
• stuffing
• crochet hook size 3 mm
• darning needle
• scissors
Size: 9 page PDF, English and German version included.
Structure: stitch guide, materials, size and gauge first – then the row-by-row instructions with stitch counts and photos for the tricky parts.
You can reach me by email (masche-fuer-masche@outlook.de) or on Instagram (#maschefuermasche1). I would love to see a photo of your finished cushion.
