The caterpillar and the mushroom are good leftovers. Only small leftovers are needed for the caterpillar.

This guide explains step by step how to crochet the mushroom and the caterpillar. The instructions consist of 13 pages and are provided with many pictures.

hdc - half double crochet

I mainly crochet with 100% cotton yarn and hook size 2,0. You can use
any other yarn and also a different hook size. If you use other yarn or
a different sized hook, the mentioned size of the figure may vary. If
you crochet with Carina yarn (similar to Schachenmayr Catania) and a
hook size 2,0, will be mushroom and Caterpillar ca. 18cm high.

I always state a required amount of yarn of 50 g, even if only a small
amount is needed. You can use any other color.
