Phone Stand Horse/Unicorn - Crochet Pattern

PHONE STAND - HORSE/UNICORN

A must-have for all horse and unicorn fans!
You can not only park your mobile phone on this fancy phone stand but store some utensils, too.
Both pockets are optional, the phone stand can be done without them.
A colorful unicorn is perfect for using up scrap yarns. Scraps never looked so fabulous! ;)

The Horse/Unicorn can hold mobile phones up to 3.27 inches in width.

All steps are explained in detail in words and pictures, so this pattern is suitable for (practiced) beginners as well.
This pattern contains 23 pages of crochet instructions and 15 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions.

Used techniques (US crochet terms): magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increases and (invisible) decreases, crocheting in front loops and back loops – explained, changeing yarn-color.
The figures are crocheted in continuous rounds/spirals as well as back and forth in rows.

With 3.0 mm hook and DK yarn or two strands of Sport weight yarn the Horse/Unicorn gets to be 15 cm wide & 17 cm tall (without horn).

You need it smaller or bigger? No problem! Simply use lighter or heavier yarn.
Mobile phones won’t fit then anymore though.

• 3.0 mm crochet hook
• tapestry needle
• optional: some colored pins
• a bit of heavy stuffing (e.g. pea gravel, marbles, sand...)
• a small freezer bag for the heavy stuffing
• soft stuffing

DK yarn

• 80 g for body, legs, arms & ears
• 12 g for the hooves
• 12 g for the tail
• 7 g for the body’s pockets
• 14 g for the mane
• 3 g for the horn
• some black for the eyes
• some contrast-color for the mouth
  (for double stranded Sport weight yarn you need a bit more of each)
