Crochet Pattern for a Amigurumi Jellyfish

Crochet Pattern for a Amigurumi Jellyfish

Product description

The Fire Jellyfish
The fire jellyfish looks quite sweet and harmless, but it is not so. On its jellyfish body hang the dangerous oral arms and tentacles, which discharge their nettle capsules when touched. This causes terrible burn pain on the skin. Hence the name fire jellyfish. The fire jellyfish use this characteristic to protect themselves from predators. Thanks to cotton yarn, this is not the case with Fiffi the fire jellyfish. On the opposite, their pretty tentacles are easy to touch and are even a very special sensory experience, for early babies because they remind us of the umbilical cord, for babies to feel their sense of touch and also for us adults because it just feels good.
Did you know that the fire jellyfish is also called lion's mane because of its beautiful red tentacles? Is that not right? In nature, fire jellyfish are dark red to yellow. The jellyfish umbrella and the oral arms are dark, the tentacles are light. So you can crochet your Fiffi the fire jellyfish in different shades of red, pink and orange, according to your taste.

The pattern its self, is great written. I made this one for a toy horse for my neighbour kid. And she loved it. I just had to tweak some adjustments for the fitting.
