IMPORTANT: You are buying a PDF crochet pattern, NOT the finished toy.
This pattern is included in English AND German – both PDF versions are part of the download.
Boris is a bear on his summer holiday: with striped swim shorts, blue and white sliders, a red cap and a yellow swim ring with a duck head. Head and body are worked in one piece in the round, which saves you sewing the head on. The swim shorts are made from two legs joined by a gusset, the cap from six separate panels with the peak worked straight on and a button on top.
Photo note: The crocheted item is real and made by me. On some photos the background was AI-generated or digitally edited.
If you run into any trouble, or if an error has slipped in somewhere: please message me FIRST, before leaving a review – we'll sort it out together!
Required skills: magic ring, chain, single crochet, slip stitch, half double, double and treble crochet, increase, decrease and skipping stitches, working both in rounds and in rows, changing colours mid-row for the striped sliders, stuffing pieces and sewing them on, embroidering letters.
The pattern is a detailed step-by-step PDF with lots of photos. Every round is written out individually, with stitch counts.
Boris is the most varied of these patterns: many small pieces and several techniques, but none of them difficult.
Finished size: approx. 30 cm / 12 in. Gauge: 24 stitches × 22 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in (3 mm hook).
Yarn used: Schachenmayr Catania.
• 100 g beige
• 50 g yellow
• leftovers in light blue, dark blue, red, orange, white, brown and natural
• stuffing
• 2 black half beads, 1 cm diameter
• 2 black half beads, 0.5 cm diameter
• crochet hook 3 mm, darning needle, scissors
Please note: for children under three, replace the half beads with embroidered eyes.
You are welcome to sell your finished toy, as long as you include a note "Made from a pattern by Masche-fuer-Masche" with a link to my shop. The pattern itself is for private use only – it may not be sold, gifted, shared or published in any way, in any language.
You can download the pattern immediately after receipt of payment.
