Alice encounters the Hatter initially at a tea party. He is popularly referred to as the "Mad Hatter", but is never called by this name in the book—although the Cheshire Cat does warn Alice that he is mad, and the Hatter's eccentric behaviour supports this.
Crochet skill level: Intermediate (requires knowledge of basic crochet terms).
Size: The Mad Hatter is 8 inches tall (20.3 cm). This includes the hat.
1) 3.00 mm hook
2) 4 ply yarn (cream, green, dark green, mint, white, black and red)
3) Polyester fiberfill
4) Two 4 mm black beads for buttons
6) Tapestry needle
8) Sewing needle and thread for attaching buttons
