This crochet tutorial consists of illustrated pattern for crocheting two backpacks in the shape of an owl, 2 sizes: 25 cm x 21 cm and 30 cm x 28 cm. The size of the backpacks can be changed very easily. The children can use the backpack either as a kindergarden bag or as a day-to-day bag.

The backpacks can be crocheted with two different straps. The first option would be to make the crocheted straps and use the second finished straps (explained in the pattern).

  • For backpack and side pockets and face parts for the larger backpack: Coton 4 by Phildar, 50gr/85m (alternative: Katia "Mali", 50 gr/65 m, Creative Coton Aran by Rico Design, 50 gr/85 m), 50 gr of each of 5 different colours, 50 gr of any colour for bottom, 50 gr of any colour for top, 50 gr of any colour for side pockets, see also important note for wool on page 3
  • For face parts (smaller backpack): Katia "Capri", 50gr/125m., (alternative: Schachenmayr "Catania" or LanaGrossa "Cotone"), scraps of white or ecru, brown or black
  • Possibly webbing 2 x 1m. long, width 30 mm, 2 sliders, width of opening 30 mm, 2 pocket rings (loops) 30 mm wide
  • Crochet hook no. 3.5 and no. 4 for the bag and no. 3 for face parts (EU size)
  • cord, approx. 4 mm thick and 1 m long, cord stopper, cord ends, 2 pcs. black buttons for eyes, approx. 2.5 (for smaller backpack) or 3 cm (for larger backpack) diameter, magnetic fastener

    Sehr schöne Anleitung
    Die Anleitung war verständlich und gut nach zu arbeiten ein paar Sachen hätte ich zwar anders beschrieben aber in großem ganzen ist sie sehr gut zu verstehen

    Habe den Rucksack für den Krippenstart meiner Tochter genäht und was soll ich sagen... sie liebt ihn. Trägt ihn mit Stolz und zeigt ihn jedem. Die Anleitung ist verständlich und gut bebildert.

    super schön !!!
    Habe meiner 2-jährigenTochter zum Start in der Krippe diesen Rücksack gehäkelt. Ist ganz toll rausgekommen. Den Boden hab ich noch mit Flies verstärkt damit die Eule ihre Form behält auch wenn eine Vesperdose oder Trinkflasche drinsteckt.

    Hallo ich habe eine Frage,
    bei mir klappt es nicht ganz mit dem Muster... laut dem Grundmuster sind es immer 7 feste M. Ich kann nicht wirklich häkelschrift lesen.... laut der schriftlichen Anleitung sind es 5 feste M..
    irgendwie komme ich mit den Maschen nicht hin....
    Könnten sie da bitte nochmal über die Anleitung schauen...

      Hallo, sowie auf der Häkelschrift, als auch in der Beschreibung ist immer über jeweils 5 feste Maschen zwischen jeweiligen 3 zusammen gehäkelten festen Maschen, bzw. zwischen 3 in eine Einstichstelle gehäkelten feste Maschen, die Rede. LG Natalie

        Die Anfangsmaschen werden ja weniger ab Runde... und dann gibt es bei mir nur auf einer Seite Zacken und auf der anderen Seite passt es dann mit der Maschenzahl nicht mehr....

            Häkeln Sie einfach zwischen jeweiligen 3 festen Maschen, die in eine Einstichstelle eingestochen werden und zwischen 3 festen Maschen, die zusammen abgemascht werden, jeweils 5 festen Maschen, dann klappt es in jeder Runde. Die Maschen werden nicht weniger, dass Sie mal in eine Einstichstelle 3 feste Maschen häkeln, mal 3 feste Maschen zusammen abmaschen, dass heißt die Anzahl der Maschen bleibt immer gleich.

              Das stimmt nur in ihrer anleitung ist es anders beschrieben. Ab 2 R 4 FM dann 3 zUS. Dann 5FM dann 3 FM verdoppeln und * Wiederholen. .. es gibt aber kein Sternchen. .. ab wo ich wiederholen soll...
              3R. 3Fm 3 zusammeln 5FM 3 verdoppeln ab * wiederholen.... kein * da!!!!
