Pattern for Mini-Mochila „Inge“/ Single-Thread-Technique of Wayuu“

I originally only offered the German pattern for this Mochila, but I was asked so often to write an english pattern as well. I have done this now, but please note that English is not my native language. I did my very best and hope that you can understand my English.

This beautiful Mini-Mochila is not just a "crochet bag". It is crocheted in the original Wayuu technique and is so stable that it stands upright by itself. It is intended as a shopping companion, because it offers exactly the right space for your wallet, mobile phone, car keys - and glasses, if necessary. But it can also be used as a treat bag on a dog walk. The usual shoulder strap has been replaced here by a short hand strap, so that the Mini-Mochila can also be used perfectly on the handle of a rollator, for example, without getting caught in the wheels. You will be envied for this cute mochila!

This pattern is designed for those who already have experience with crocheting a mochila using the Wayuu technique.
It is not a complete guide for the inexperienced. If you have little or no experience with crocheting mochilas and still want to crochet this bag, or if you find that your previous knowledge is not enough, write me. I will be happy to help you and I am sure that you will reach your aim.

The pattern includes:

• Crochet script for the bottom (incl. representation of the placement of the increases)
• instruction for the side
• Weaving pattern for the hand strap
• Braiding pattern for the Kumihimo cord
• separate pattern for a crocheted shoulder strap (if you do not have a loom)
• separate pattern for the macramee feathers

Prerequisites:
Advanced knowledge of crocheting a mochila in the Wayuu technique. You should be able to do the following:

• Magic Ring
• crocheting with carrying threads
• Crochet the bottom with 8, 10 or 12 sections - according to your needs
• Buttonholes for the cord
• Read the weaving pattern
• Covering / work with a Kumihimo braided disc

b) 1 crochet hook 2,0
I recommend an ergonomic crochet hook, because crocheting a mochila with an
conventional crochet hook is very strenuous.
c) 1 round metal cord stopper „Stegring“
d) 2 cord end caps (Glocke)
e) Pin „handmade“

g) For the shoulder strap:
Loom „Ashford Inkle Loom“
h) Marking thread or stitch marker for round transition
