Luisen Cloche - Lady´s Hat 1920/30s Style - Sizes S-L

"Hats off to...let´s crochet – "Hat Luisen Cloche” ... my favorite hat ...

Inspired by the German TV Series “Babylon Berlin” or for all fans of "Downton Abbey"
I have designed a sophisticated hat in style of the golden 1920s and 1930s

♥ The hat is a modern and fashionable Cloche/ Flapper. You can wear and crochet it with a shortened neck area and decorative bow similar to a bonnet or like a simple Cloche hat.
♥ An amazing knit style look.

A gorgeous becoming hat with a warming dense fabric because of the cuddly wool and the special look with ribbings such as known Worm Beanies.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

♥ In Slip Stitches and Single Crochet Stitches.
♥ Partly in the old technique “Bosnian Crochet”.
Have you ever heard about it? Well, you are working in back and front loops of slip stitches to create special fabrics. The upper part of the hat exists of single crochet stitches. Don´t be afraid!
You will find an included workshop with pics in the midst of written pattern.

♥ I recommend this work for "advanced" /skill intermediate: (Not suitable for crochet novices!).
Please note: Although the chain stitch is easy to work, it is also unusual
and needs practice accordingly. If this is pulled too tight, the hat will warp!

♥ Terminology: EU/US-American Crochet Terms.

Size Information

♥ You will find 4 sizes in a chart:
S/M & M/L * from 55cm (US 6 ⅞ = 21.7") to 58cm (US 7 ¼ = 22.8") circumference.
♥ Find a tip for bigger sizes up to 60cm (US 7½ = 23.6") if you have thicker hair e.g.

Materials List

♥ Work double-stranded with 3 skeins of worsted weight yarns (e.g. wool cap yarns) of 65-70% Polyacrylic/30-35% Wool; 50g/ca.55m yardage (1.8oz/ca.60yds.) & (no sponsoring) e.g. 1 skein of Drops Kid Silk, 75% Mohair, 25% Silk, 25g/ca.210m (0.9oz/ca.230yds.), 2ply/lace.

♥ Wpi (wraps per inch) = 11
♥ Hooks (EU 5 to 8 * US H/8 to L/10) are changing within the work.
