The Skier Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern is a fun tea cosy to knit and really makes you chuckle at tea time and it makes a wonderful change to the usual Christmas tea cosies.

The skiing tea cosy depicts a podgey person in their snowsuit speed skiing. They are bent over in that stance which is great for speed - bottoms out and head down which give the tea cosy its comic appeal.

The tea cosy is knitted in colourful shades of Stylecraft Special DK and the main cosy has a small design of black intarsia which is across four rows. Skiers always have funky outfits, so I wanted to create something bright and striking for this skier to wear. You can of course knit the snowsuit in any colours you like.

The skiers goggles are made from a clear plastic soda bottle. and the goggles can be up on the head or over the eyes.

The snow sticks and skis are knitted and stiffened with more plastic soda bottle so that the knitting holds its shape.

The pom pom hat is really cute and matches the rest of the skiing gear. The tiny pom pom for the top is made on a fork. Full instructions on how to do this are given in the pattern with photos to guide you.

The Skier tea cosy fits a medium sized tea pot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
