MARIACHI BAND (EN)

The Mariachi Band is a pattern-set consisting of the two patterns:

• Wild Life XXL Cactus Miguel (EN)
• Guitar, Trumpet, Maracas (EN)

With these PDFs you get the pattern for Cactus Miguel (for one cactus only) and the pattern for the guitar, the trumpet and a set of maracas.

You can crochet the cactus and the instruments in each size you want, so you can use the yarn you like. In this pattern there are given the informations for the small and the XXL variant.

The PDF-pattern of the cactus consists of 20 pages and has 50 colored pictures. The PDF-pattern of the instruments consists of 17 pages and has 50 colored pictures.

They are available in German (DE), English (EN) and in Dutch (NL).

Stitches (US-terminology):

slip stitch, (turning) chain, single crochet, (half) double crochet

Techniques:

Magic Ring; crochet on chains; increase/decrease of stitches; crochet in continuous (oval) rounds, closed rounds and rows; crochet in 1 loop only; Color change; fasten off; weave in ends

Level of difficulty: easy (-intermediate)

With the stated yarn and crochet hook the finished figure with hat is in XXL approx. 50 cm and in small approx. 30 cm tall.
The guitar is approx. 25 cm in XXL and approx. 15 cm in Small long, the trumpet in XXL approx. 23 cm and in small approx. 13 cm long and the maracas in XXL approx. 13 cm and in small approx. 8 cm long.

The size also depends on how tight or loose you crochet. If you use another yarn as stated, you have to match the size of your crochet hook accordingly to the yarn size and also the amount of yarn balls, whereby the size can also vary.

I used Gründl King Cotton yarn and a 4 mm crochet hook for the XXL variant.

For the small version I used Schachenmayr Catania yarn and a 2 mm crochet hook.
