Crochet Pattern Chicken Easter Egg Basket PDF

This lovely chicken basket can hold up to 5 or 6 eggs (depending on what size you make it) and will look so cute sitting on your breakfast table !
A basket like this can also be used during your Easter egg hunt !

This pattern will guide you to crochet a Chicken Basket as shown in pictures.
It’s made of 3 strands of acrylic yarn (8 ply / DK) held together and crochet hook size J (6 mm). 3 Different colors of yarn have been used to create a speckled look. Instead of working with 3 strands of yarn you could just use 1 strand of really thick yarn. Finished size will be approx. 6.6” tall (17 cm ).

• (approx.) Gauge : 5 single crochet = 2” (5 cm)

Note: Made of thinner or thicker yarn and matching hook you could create a smaller or larger version of this chicken.

The pattern is worked in continuous rounds, from the bottom up; body, head and tail are made in one part. The basket is made of 2 separate parts which will be crocheted together to form one piece.
