Crochet pattern tunic / shirt Flower Power

Flower Power is the name of this beautiful tunic, which draws the eye with its simple but effective pattern. Single granny squares are joined together and form the neckline. Then you work around the squares. A lace flower pattern provides another eyecatching feature.

The tunic can be worked in every clothing size. To choose your size, I advise using the measurements of a comfortable fitting pullover.

Materials needed:

• Clothing size S-M (L / XL / XXL): approx. 320-400 (500-750) grams / 11.3-14.1 (17.6-26.45) oz or 1200-1700 (1900-2100) metres / 1312-1859 (2078-2296.5) yds of fingering weight yarn (e.g. Alize Bamboo Fine or Alize Diva, you can also use a 3 or 4 plied yarn cake). Use two colours which contrast well with each other. You will need approx. 60% co 1, 40% co 2.
• Crochet hook size 3.5 mm (UK 9, US F)
• Sewing needle
• Scissors

The tunic is started with the granny squares. Then you work around the squares. To avoid distorting the piece will be turned after every round. When you have reached your desired width, the sides will be sewn together. Then you work the sleeves. The neckline can be reduced to your desired width by working a granny pattern. A finishing border at the neckline and at the bottom completes the tunic.

A gauge swatch is not necessary. Please note: Cotton or Viscose will stretch while wearing or after washing the tunic. Please remember this when you choose your clothing size.
