You can simply wear the shirt next to your skin or dress it up with a plain jumper.
What was practical for me was this: I always had a ball and a crochet hook in my handbag and no matter where I was bored (waiting room at the doctor's or at the office, long train ride or flight: I always had something to pass the time by crocheting a new hexagon. So finally they all came together and I thought about how to arrange them. This is the result.
