Hat and cowl knitting pattern collection "The Lollipop Book"

The “Lollipop Book” is a knitting pattern collection for an infinity scarf and hat set using fingering sock yarn. Both patterns are also available individually, as a set they are on sale at a reduced price.

The set consist of a long knit cowl pattern and a knitted beanie, both of them worked in the same textured and stretchy stitch pattern - an easy knit and lightweight accessory set that nonetheless will provide warmth in winter.
The patterns are fully written and include a small chart for the stitch pattern.


Lollipop Hat

Evoking memories of those gluey candies that all children wanted to have.

The Lollipop Hat is worked in rounds from the bottom to the top in a fingering sock yarn. The stitch pattern creates a ruched effect and makes it a very stretchy hat to fit many heads. It is a lightweight hat for spring or fall.

Difficulty level: intermediate (knitting in the round on DPNs or circular needles, increases, decreases, double decreases)

Yarn: Regia 4-ply (75% wool, 25% nylon; 210m/50g; 230yds/1.76oz), 1-2 balls. Sample in size medium used exactly 1 ball with nearly nothing remaining. The large size will use more than 1 ball.
(Please note: the yarn entry in the Ravelry database got edited later on. The sample was made using the 50g balls).

Needles: 3mm/US 2 1/2 set of 5 DPNs or circular needles

Notions: yarn needle, stitch marker (optional)

Gauge: 27 stitches/40 rows in unstretched lollipop pattern = 10cm/4in.

Sizes: child (teen, adult medium, adult large), 45 (50, 55, 60)cm or 18 (20, 22, 24)in in circumference, 17 (21, 22, 25)cm or 6 1/4 (7 1/2, 8 3/4, 10)in in length. The stitch pattern is very stretchy.


Lollipop Cowl

This long infinity scarf is worked in a very stretchy stitch pattern. Using fingering weight sock yarn, it is a lightweight accessory that will still keep you warm in winter. The stitch pattern is reversible, either side looks good.

This is not a quick knit, but it is a very enjoyable knit that will allow you to watch football besides if you so wish.

Difficulty level: intermediate (knitting in the round on circular needles, increases, decreases, double decreases)

Yarn: Regia 4-ply (75% wool, 25% nylon; 210m/50g; 230yds/1.76oz), 3 balls. Sample used 551m (603yds). Please note that this yarn comes in 50g and 100g balls. If you use the 100g balls, 2 are enough.

Needles: 3mm/US 2 1/2 circular needles

Notions: yarn needle, 1 stitch marker

Gauge: 27 stitches/40 rows in unstretched lollipop pattern = 10cm/4in.

Size: 170cm (68in)in the round, 20cm (8in) wide (easy to adjust)

Die Anleitung ist okay und gut nachvollziehbar. Jede Reihe ist einzeln Masche für Masche beschrieben. Mehrere Maschenproben waren aufgrund großer Abweichungen nötig. Für den Preis fehlt mir eine Großaufnahme der Stelle des Anfangs der Arbeit, der Mittellinie und der Ecken, sowie eine Schemazeichnung. Beim Stöbern bin ich im Nachhinein auf eine ähnliche, kostenlose Anleitung gestoßen.
