IMPORTANT: You are buying a PDF crochet pattern, NOT the finished item.
This pattern is included in English AND German – both versions are part of the download, 8 and 10 pages.
Crochet a croissant – a PDF crochet pattern for a little croissant with a real push button inside. Under the dollop of jam you feel the button give way and you hear the click – both at once, just like a ballpoint pen. Finished size approx. 12 cm / 4.7 inches long.
No rattle and no squish, but a real switch – again and again, as often as you like. The croissant lies flat in your hand, nothing sticks out, and it fits into any coat pocket.
With a face or without – both versions are written out. Without a face it is a croissant to play with, with a face it is a little friend.
About the push button: you can get it from any electronics shop for pennies. It is usually sold in a bulk pack only – about $8.99 for 70 switches with caps (as of 20 September 2026), and that pack will last you for every clicker you ever crochet. The exact part name and two sources – one for the US, one for Europe – are in the pattern, with a QR code to scan.
And if you simply cannot get hold of the switch: the croissant works without it too, just as a quiet little cuddly piece.
Pattern in English and German, 8 and 10 pages
Two versions: with a face and without
Made from scraps – no full ball of yarn needed
Explained step by step, with photos for every stage
Every round written out, with the stitch count at the end
Instant download after purchase
HOW YOU GET YOUR PATTERN
The PDF is ready to download in your account right after your purchase. You will also receive a confirmation by email – please check your spam folder if it does not arrive.
Photo note: The crocheted item is real and made by me.
If you run into any trouble or something is unclear, please send me a message first – I am happy to help and we will sort it out together. The review can wait until after that, I would much prefer it that way.
You are welcome to sell the finished crocheted items as long as you credit „Design: Masche-für-Masche". The pattern itself is for your private use only – it may not be exchanged, passed on, gifted, sold or translated.
Skill level: intermediate – the stitches themselves are easy, it is the tidy work that counts.
You should know these stitches:
Chain (ch), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), magic ring (MR), increase and decrease. US crochet terms.
The pattern is worked in rounds, with a little sewing.
The pattern is a detailed step-by-step PDF with lots of photos. Every round is written out individually, with a stitch count to check against.
Finished size: approx. 12 cm / 4.7 inches long
Crocheted with Schoeller + Stahl Limone and a 2.5 mm hook (US B/1 – C/2).
Yarn: Schoeller + Stahl Limone (worked with a 2.5 mm hook in the original)
