Crochet Four Christmas Stockings – Set Pattern in English & German

Four large Christmas stockings to hang up and fill, all in one pattern – each with its own character on the front: a Santa with a round beard and a pointed hat, a penguin with a striped scarf and a striped pointed hat, a reindeer with a red nose, a scarf and antlers, and a snowman with a top hat and a scarf. Stocking and character are crocheted separately and sewn together at the end. Each stocking measures approx. 30 × 25 cm.

All four stockings are written out in full – round by round, with stitch counts and photos for every piece.

Required skills: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, half double crochet, double crochet, magic ring, increase and decrease.

The pattern is a detailed step-by-step PDF with lots of photos. Every round/row is written out individually, with stitch counts.

Skill level: intermediate – the stocking itself uses basic stitches only; on top of that come several small flat pieces, colour changes and a little sewing.

Finished size: each stocking measures approx. 30 × 25 cm.
Gauge: 26 stitches × 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm.
Used: Schachenmayr Catania. The stocking is worked with the 3 mm hook, all other pieces with the 2.5 mm hook.

Santa stocking:
• 100 g light green
• 50 g red
• scraps in white, skin colour and dark green
• one white pompom, approx. 2 cm in diameter
• a tiny bit of stuffing
• 2 black half beads, 8 mm

Penguin stocking:
• 100 g red
• 50 g light green
• scraps in black, white, green and orange
• one white pompom, approx. 2 cm in diameter
• a tiny bit of stuffing (for the beak only)
• 2 black half beads, 8 mm

Reindeer stocking:
• 100 g red
• 50 g green
• scraps in black, light green, brown and beige
• a tiny bit of stuffing (for the nose only)
• 2 black half beads, 8 mm

Snowman stocking:
• 100 g light green
• 50 g green
• 50 g red
• scraps in black, white, orange, medium green and blue
• a tiny bit of stuffing (for the nose only)
• 2 black half beads, 8 mm

For all four stockings: crochet hook 2.5 mm and 3 mm, darning needle, scissors, glue.
