You should know how to knit, increase, and decrease stitches... However, all of this can easily be learned quickly via general knitting videos from various sources. It looks harder than it actually is. In my opinion, even beginners can successfully knit my Koi socks. Just try Googling the "Ladderback" technique.

Materials List
Set of 2.5 mm double-pointed needles (or a circular needle, depending on preference)
4-ply sock yarn (210 m/50 g or 420 m/100 g)
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends and a pair of scissors :)
The sock yarn I used, which transitions from blue to yellow, is from Laines du Nord (color no. 15).
I used the ladder-back technique. You can also see the inside in one of the photos. Everything turns out neat automatically ;)
