Mayla 2.0 is a light and airy triangle shawl with a beautiful openwork pattern and a harmonious symmetrical shape. The shawl is crocheted from the center out and grows evenly on both sides. This creates a classic triangle shawl that can be styled in many different ways – worn loosely over the shoulders, as a stole, as a summer accessory, or during the cooler season.
Special attention was given to the center of this version: the increases are worked in such a way that they blend softly and harmoniously into the pattern, without creating a dominant center seam. This gives the shawl a beautifully even look and a soft, flowing drape.
Mayla 2.0 is the symmetrical version of my shawl Mayla. While the original version is crocheted from one side to the other, Mayla 2.0 is worked from the center out. This gives the shawl a symmetrical triangle shape and a new, clear construction – while keeping the same beautiful pattern character.
The shawl works wonderfully with gradient yarns/cakes, but it also looks beautiful in a solid color. Depending on your yarn choice, you can crochet Mayla 2.0 as a light and summery accessory or make it a little cozier for fall and winter.
