This hat pattern is designed for stretchy fabrics—such as jersey, French terry, cozy fleece, sweatshirt fabric, knits, or rib knit—but it can also be sewn using boiled wool. You will need approximately 25 cm of fabric for the baby size and 33 cm for the standard adult size, assuming a fabric width of 140 cm.
Optional: If using very thin fabric, you may reinforce the ear flaps with interfacing or fill them with washable polyester batting.
