Inka Hat (Sizes 33–65) – Pattern & Sewing Instructions

Product description

The Inka hat—available in baby, child, and adult sizes (33–65)—can be sewn with or without earflaps. Without earflaps, it can be worn as a reversible hat. The cat ears can also be transformed into dinosaur spikes. This sewing pattern is suitable for both summer and winter and is perfect for beginners.

Sizes 33–65 for babies, children, and adults.

Materials List

  • This hat pattern is designed for stretchy fabrics—such as jersey, French terry, cozy fleece, sweatshirt fabric, knits, or rib knit—but it can also be sewn using boiled wool. You will need approximately 25 cm of fabric for the baby size and 33 cm for the standard adult size, assuming a fabric width of 140 cm.
  • Optional: If using very thin fabric, you may reinforce the ear flaps with interfacing or fill them with washable polyester batting.
  • Optional: Chin ties
