Crochet shawl/scarf with a symmetrical design – Bryelle BE – crochetpattern

Product description

“Bryelle BE” is an exceptionally harmonious crochet shawl/scarf that stands out thanks to its perfectly symmetrical construction. The piece is worked from the beginning to the center and then crocheted back in an exact mirror image. This creates a beautifully balanced, elegant look that showcases gradient yarns to their very best advantage.
This pattern was featured in the 2025 Advent Calendar by Lilu’s Märchengarne, delighting many crochet lovers throughout the holiday season. The result is a timeless shawl/scarf design that is equally perfect for cozy moments and as a stylish, eye-catching accessory.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

To crochet “Bryelle BE,” you should be comfortable with basic crochet techniques. Familiarity with chain stitches, double crochet, and reading crochet charts is recommended.
The pattern includes:
• a detailed and clearly structured written description
• an easy-to-read crochet chart with color highlights for better orientation
• plenty of photos to guide you step by step
Skill level: easy to intermediate
Well suited for confident beginners with some experience as well as advanced crocheters.

Size Information

The size of the shawl/scarf can easily be customized by repeating Part 2 as many times as desired.
The shawl/scarf shown in the cover image measures approximately 210 x 65 cm (about 83 x 26 inches).

Materials List

Gradient yarn “Schneeflöckchen” by Lilu’s Märchengarne (Melanie Dorn)
• Item no.: 870
• Fiber content: 50% cotton, 50% acrylic
• Weight: 300 g
• 4-ply
• Yardage: approx. 1140 m (about 1247 yards)
Crochet hook suitable for the yarn and your personal tension
Scissors
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

The shawl/scarf consists of three parts:
• Part 1: Rows 0–1 (beginning)
• Part 2: Rows 2–11 help form the main pattern and are repeated until the desired size is reached
• Part 3: Final finishing row
Turn your work after every row.
Each row increases by 4 stitches on each side.
Stitch counts are easy to calculate using the following formula:
Row number × 4 + 1 = number of stitches between the beginning and the center, and between the center and the end
Shaded in gray in the chart are for orientation only and have already been worked in the previous pattern repeat.
Symbols highlighted in yellow indicate the repeat section.

Tolle Anleitung.
