DIY crochet pattern for double-sided pot holders „Heavy Metal”

Product description

Cook like a true rocker! These double-faced crocheted pot holders are more than just practical kitchen aids — they make a statement! \m/

Follow these instructions to make pot holders featuring a metal hand motif and give yourself or your loved ones a unique, handmade gift that looks great and offers maximum comfort when handling hot pots and pans.

Double-sided crocheting allows you to design the potholder with two completely different patterns – a metal hand on the front and back, for example. This technique makes the potholders nice and thick, giving them excellent insulating properties. You also save yourself the trouble of sewing up the ends, as the threads are worked directly into the pot holder.

If there is anything in the instructions that you do not understand or if you have any questions about the technique, please simply ask by e-mail.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

Basic knowledge in crochet (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch) is required.

Level of difficulty: middle (for advanced)

Basic knowledge in crochet (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch) is required. Knowledge of the doubleface technique is not required. The technique is explained in detail in the instructions. If you are using this technique for the first time, you should first crochet a small test piece according to the instructions in order to grasp the principle. After that, implementation is not difficult anymore.

With this download you will receive a detailed, 17-page PDF file with the description and photos of the technique in German and English (US terminology). The description contains the graphic counting templates and colored number blocks for each row. In addition, instructions of the basic technique of doubleface crochet with enlarged photos are provided.
There you also find a link to a video tutorial with the basic technique of doubleface crochet. The files are for personal use only!
