With the detailed description and illustrated instructions, you can crochet a beautiful fox with less than one ball in the base color (orange, amber, etc.). Most parts are already crocheted together with the body, so there's no annoying sewing involved. Only the head and ears are sewn on, and their position is precisely indicated in the pattern.
If you have basic crochet skills, it's easy to crochet and only requires a bit more attention when counting stitches to place color changes and increases/decreases correctly.
