Once having knit the Columbine tunic you may well find that it has become a favourite, one that you want to knit again and again. It has a loose fit and is wonderful to wear over T-shirts or blouses. Knitted top-down, the tunic can be knit in any desired length.
The lace pattern is much easier to knit than it seems and it has no seams. You only have to knit “holes” on every fourth row. The other three rows are just stockinette. That makes this tunic a fast and relaxing knit, not one that requires your full attention from start to finish.
There is a crochet version of the Columbine Tunic pattern, naamed Akelei Tunic.
