With the thick Myboshi No.1 yarn (or a comparable alternative), these fun chickens can be crocheted quickly and are the perfect size for a few Easter treats. Of course, you can also hide and gift secret messages, money, vouchers, jewelry, a silk scarf, or other small surprises inside. It's a wonderful weekend or evening project.
A special trick ensures that there are no visible round or color transitions on the chicken’s body.
The hens are very sturdy because the body is crocheted with single crochet stitches and consists of four parts: an outer and inner basket, as well as an outer and inner headpiece. Everything is crocheted together, including the tail feathers, which are directly attached to the body. This means that at the end, you only need to add the comb and beak—simply knotting the yarn ends, with no sewing required. Only the wings need to be sewn on.
You will receive a detailed PDF pattern (12 pages) with text and approximately 70 step-by-step images.
The pattern includes chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet.
The pattern is written in US terminology.
Suitable for beginners.
Ø approx. 10 cm, height approx. 15 cm
