single crochet
chain stitches

about 5.5 cm
the size varies depending on the thickness of the yarn used.
i used yarn from Schachenmayr Bravo with a crochet hook size 3.5

you need:
a crochet hook ( the size is indicated on the packaging of the crochet yarn you are using)
scissors, a needle to sew up the loose threads, stitch markers,
many different colors of yarn for the lower circles and one color for the upper circles
