This pattern is perfect to make for new born babies because we only use cotton yarn and embroider the eyes on, instead of plastic safety eyes. She can also be washed in the washing machine when made out of cotton.
You can of course also use the colours of your liking, for example use baby blue and creme for a boy. Or you can also use chunky yarn to turn her into a super big plushie or a pillow.
We crochet the turtle in continuous spiral rounds. We first make the shell and the belly and then the head and fins get sewn on.
