Knitting pattern doll boy Martin the House Elf, knitted cute doll

Product description

This is a PDF toy knitting pattern - NOT the finished knitted doll in the photos!

The pattern is available for double pointed needles for knitting in the round.
All the clothing items can be taken off.

Please meet Martin, the House Elf!

Martin is a good luck charm for the house he lives in!

In daytime he observes all the household members from his hiding place. When all the family goes to bed he comes out and starts tidying up. He hums his favorite song under his breath and goes on putting the toys and books away, watering the flowers or polishing silver. He can nibble at some sweet cookies or drink a couple of milk drops. Then he goes to the children’s rooms to straighten the bedcovers and give a pat on the sweet sleeping heads. Then when all the chores are done his consciousness is clear he goes to bed.

P.S. Are you tired of everyday house chores? When Martin is by your side your home will be sweet and spotless in no time!

The pattern is easy to follow with step-by-step detailed instructions accompanied by plenty of photos.

Size Information

Materials List

Yarn and Equipment

  1. Yarna Freestyle, wool (50%), acrylic (50%), 400 m - 100g
    • color light beige (2503), (I use two strands of this yarn for the body,
head and arms of the boy).
  2. Alize Superlana Klasik, wool (25%), acrylic (75%), 280m/307yds. -
    100g/3.53Oz.
    • color dark aqua (212) (Used for the breeches).
    • color terracotta (662). (Used for the sweater, boots (legs) and the
      stripes on the hat).
    • color dark brown (240) and color off white (01) (Used for the sole of
the boots and stripes on the socks (legs)).
    • color light turquoise (463). (Used for the stripes on the hat).
  3. Some light yellow yarn of medium thickness (Used for the doll’s hair).
  4. Double-pointed needles in a size suitable for the weight of the yarn
you are using, although I recommend using needles a size or two
smaller than the yarn calls for, to produce a firm fabric. I used 3 mm
    (U.K No.11/ U.S 2.5) and 2,25 mm (U.K No.13/ U.S 1) for the elf nose, the
belt zone of the breeches, stockinette stitch bord of the hat.
  5. Crochet hook 3,5 mm (UK-No.9/ US-E/4). (Used for the hair of the doll).
  6. Sushi stick (or any other wooden stick with a blunt end) – for the
    stuffing of the toy.
  7. Washable polyester filing for the stuffing of the toy.
  8. Yarn needle – a long needle for assembling of the toy.
  9. 2 beads Ø 4 mm - for the eyes.
  10. 3 small wooden buttons used for the sweater.
  11. A piece of thick carton in size 36 сm by 6,5 сm (14" x 2,6")
