It's cute
Eine sehr gute und ausführliche Anleitung.
IMPORTANT: You are buying a PDF crochet pattern, NOT the finished gnome.
This pattern is included in English AND German – both PDF versions are part of the download.
A gnome to crochet, about 18 cm tall: black body, yellow hat with a white bobble, a long white beard made from sock yarn and black-and-yellow striped little arms.
It comes with four small bees with white wings, a pair of large gnome wings, a honey spoon with a drop of honey, and a beehive made from jute cord over an aluminium foil shape.
12 pages, written round by round.
Photo note: The crocheted item is real and made by me. On some photos the background was AI-generated or digitally edited.
If you run into any trouble, or if an error has slipped in somewhere: please message me FIRST, before leaving a review – we'll sort it out together!
Required skills: chain (ch), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (sl st), magic circle (mc), half double crochet (hdc), increase (inc), decrease (dec).
The pattern is a step-by-step PDF. Every round or row is written out individually. The wings are worked in half double crochet, and the little arms and the bees change colour from round to round. The beehive is not crocheted – it is wrapped and glued from jute cord around a shape made of aluminium foil.
The gnome is about 18 cm / 7 inches tall.
The beehive is about 8 cm / 3 inches high and 5 cm / 2 inches in diameter.
Gauge: 24 stitches × 22 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 inches.
Used: Schachenmayr Catania, a fine yarn (2).
• 50 g black and yellow (208)
• leftovers in light yellow (280), off white (263) and beige
• a leftover of white sock yarn for the beard
• stuffing
• a little stick, approx. 6 cm / 2.4 inches long and 3 mm thick (a toothpick works too)
• a couple of metres of jute cord
• aluminium foil
• glue
• hook 2.5 mm and 3 mm (the 3 mm is only for the hat)
• darning needle
• sewing needle
• scissors
