New Reminder Features on Crazypatterns

Dear Crazypatterns Community,

Alongside many other updates, we’ve introduced four new, unobtrusive reminder features to better support you with your creative projects. Our goal is to provide you with helpful, relevant prompts exactly when they’re most useful to you.

Here is an overview of the new features:

1. Discover Patterns and Deals on Your Wishlist
When you save patterns to your wishlist, we’ll send you a gentle reminder about them after a reasonable amount of time. Additionally, our system now detects relevant price drops: If a pattern on your list goes on sale, you’ll receive a quick heads-up. This way, you won't miss out on deals for projects you're genuinely interested in.

2. Resume Incomplete Purchases in Your Cart
If your checkout process gets interrupted, we’ll now remind registered users about their active shopping cart. The link in the email allows you to easily pick up your purchase right where you left off.

3. Share Your Project Photos with the Community
Once you’ve downloaded a pattern, we’ll send you a short reminder after an appropriate amount of time to upload a photo of your finished project. The link takes you directly to the upload page. Your photos are a fantastic resource for others making purchasing decisions and provide authors with wonderful, visible feedback on their designs.

4. Leave Honest Product Reviews
Going forward, we’ll also send more targeted reminders to review the patterns you’ve used. Your honest opinion helps other users choose the right pattern and supports our designers in continuously improving their work.

Smart Logic for Relevant Messages

To ensure these new features are truly helpful and never annoying, we’ve put a lot of development work into an intelligent verification system. Our system doesn't just send messages blindly; it operates in the background with carefully designed safeguards and real-time checks:

No unnecessary reminders: If you've already purchased, reviewed, or shared a project photo for a product, the system recognizes this immediately and stops any further notifications for that pattern.

Protection against misleading deals: We highly value honesty. Simply raising a price and then dropping it will not trigger a deal email. Built-in safeguard logic prevents artificial price fluctuations from being reported as bargains. You’ll only be notified of genuine, relevant discounts.

Real-time cart checks: Before a reminder is sent out, the system verifies: Is the cart still full? Has it been modified in the meantime, or has the purchase already been completed? The email is only sent if it still makes sense.

Well-considered cooldowns: All reminders have fixed intervals and cooldown periods. This ensures that no one is flooded with emails. Additionally, we naturally respect your personal notification settings at all times.
