Dochtgarn ist für Anfänger ungeeignet, weil man beim häkeln oder stricken sehr leicht den Faden aufspießt.
Dochtgarn ist nicht verzwirnt.

Dochtgarn besteht nur aus einem dicken Faden und ist nicht verzwirnt. Dadurch ist es sehr weich und fluffig, reißt aber auch leicht. Man muss beim Stricken und Häkeln darauf achten, dass die Fadenspannung nicht zu hoch ist.Es eignet sich gut zum Filzen
