Für manche Muster ist das gut. Ich mache es auch bei halben Stäbchen. Dazu eine Luftmasche.

Zusammen abgemaschte Stäbchen findet man bei Büschelmaschen und Noppen oder auch als Umrandung.
Im Internet findet man dazu viele Videos mit Erklärung oder Seiten, auf denen anhand von Zeichnungen die Arbeitsweise gut erklärt wird.
Ich habe sie grad in Arbeit bei "Nikolaus Speedy und Hoppala"
