All steps are explained in detail in words and pictures, so this pattern is suitable for (practiced) beginners as well.
This pattern contains 15 pages of crochet instructions and 20 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions.
Used techniques (US crochet terms): magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, increases and (invisible) decreases, crocheting in front loops and back loops – explained, changeing yarn-color.
The figures are crocheted in continuous rounds/spirals.

Size Information
With 2.0 mm & 3.0 mm hook and Sport weight yarn Santa gets to be 17 x 8 cm tall (without arms & legs).
You need it smaller or bigger? No problem! Simply use lighter or heavier yarn.
Length and thickness of the cord and the size of the safety-eyes need to be adjusted then though.

scissors
stuffing
ca. 40 cm cord, 3 mm in diameter (or ribbon, a crocheted string etc.)
6 mm safety-eyes
optional: fitting cord-stopper
Sport weight yarn:
22 g red (hat, arms, legs, body)
8 g cream/beige (hands, head)
11 g white (hair, beard, legs, arms, hat)
8 g black (belt, boots)
~100 cm yellow/gold (belt-buckle)

Hallo Karin,
ich habe hier relativ kleine, die ca. 1,9 x 1,6 cm groß sind und etwas größere, die ca. 2,4 x 2,0 cm groß sind. Jeweils mit zwei Löchern. Die runden Stopper mit nur einem Loch gehen aber auch. Wichtig ist hier eigentlich nur der Lochdurchmesser, der muss zur Kordel passen.
