Wingspan ~ 25 cm / 9.8 inch
A toy can be made of different types of yarn, but it is important to choose the appropriate ratio of thickness of yarn and hook size.
To crochet the Dragon, you will need:
1. Yarn Alize Cotton Gold (330 meters/100 grams):
2. Yarn YarnArt Jeans (160 meters/50 grams):
3. Plastic safety eyes 10 mm
4. Felt circles diameter 15 mm (you can find it on Etsy or on aliexpress)
5. Crochet hook 2 mm
6. Wire 0.9 mm (for wings) - 2 pieces of 40 cm
7. Stuffing material (hollowfiber or polyfil)
8. Scissors & needles (thin with a small ear, long and short with a large ear)
9. Green beads and transparent fishing line
For crocheting toys, I use Alize Cotton Gold and YarnArt Jeans yarn.
You can use any other yarn, but then choose an appropriate size of a crochet hook.

Und eine Frage zu diesem reizenden Drachen. Gern würde ich ihn für meinen kleinen Enkel häkeln, habe aber Sorge, daß der Draht zu gefährlich ist. Gibt es dazu Erfahrungen? Oder eine andere Möglichkeit, die Flügel etwas steif zu bekommen? Ohne Versteifung sieht es gewiß komisch aus 🤔.

Unfortunately, without the wire the wings will not have the correct shape and I don’t think that it can be replaced with something else... 🤔
