Crescent Shawl Knitting Pattern Tinúviel

Tinuviel is a wonderful large, crescent-shaped lace-shawl specially designed for Schoppels ”Magic Ball 100” or “Laceball 100”, but can be knitted with every other laceyarn. The selected yarn should not be thicker than laceweight, otherwise it may lose its light and airy character. The yardage has to be adjusted.

Needed materials:

• Approx. 800 meters of laceweight yarn [874 yards] such as Laceball from Schoppel
• Circular knitting needle size 3 - 4 mm [US 3 - 6]
• Beads (e.g. Rocailles)
• A piece of very thin wire or dental floss
• kitchen scales
• sewing needle
• scissors

The shawl is knitted top-down, the shape is given by regularly increases at the neckside and in the middle section.
