Bookmark „Turtle Miri“ – crochet pattern

Product description

The other day, a granny came to my sales booth with her 3-year-old granddaughter and pointed purposefully at Miri. The granny could not help it and bought her the desired bookmark. When both came by again after about 10 minutes, the little one had put the bookmark under her jacket and the head with the fins was peeking out - she was overjoyed (and so was I). So not only to take as a bookmark, but also as a perfect cuddly toy.

This is "Miri", a particularly cuddly bookmark. She not only hides between the pages of the book, but also looks out particularly cheeky. Sometimes, however, she has already fallen asleep and is blissfully dreaming about the adventure story that the reader has previously read with enthusiasm.

Miri appeared to me as a bookmark in a dream. Especially cheeky, colorful, cuddly -- just to have fun with. Within a few hours I had her ready and we were all thrilled. Miri captivates with her colorful shell, her delicate fins and the cheeky hat. So that she is not so alone I crocheted two friends with other colors - the variety is here no limits. Quickly picked the favorite colors together and you're ready to go.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

For this bookmark you should not be a complete beginner, but every single step is described in detail in words and pictures. In addition, the crochet script of the "African flower is also included. You will also find a list of all required materials and the abbreviations of the terms.

These are the stitches and techniques you should master:
slst = slip stitch
chst = chain stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
tchst = turning chain stitch
st = stitch
inc = increase (for this pattern, the technique „invisible increase“ is used; in general, you crochet 2 sc into 1 stitch)
dec = decrease (for this pattern, the technique „invisible decrease“ is used, in general you crochet 2 sc together

Size Information

If the exact materials specified are used, then the bookmark will be about 30 cm long. But you can use as many "African flowers". Accordingly, the bookmark will be longer or shorter.

Materials List

Of course, you can crochet the bookmark in your favorite colors. It just always looks adorable. You need a crochet hook of 2.5mm, a pointed embroidery needle for sewing, scissors, polyfill and optional doll safety eyes. As wool I took the "Amigo" from Hobbii, 100% Acrylic, 50 g, 175 m.

If you crochet my bookmark, may I ask you to consider the following points:

  • Have fun re-crocheting, but do not share/copy these instructions with your friends.
  • You are also welcome to sell this bookmark, but please include my name as the designer.
  • You are not allowed to make your own tutorials by copying parts of my tutorial.
