Fibonacci Shawl Knitting Pattern

The Fibonacci Shawl is knitted from one lateral tip to the other. Across the length of the shawl a middle stitch pattern is worked.
On the one side of the middle stitches the Fibonacci pattern is worked and on the other side of the middle stitches a garter stitch pattern is worked.
On the one hand the Fibonacci pattern makes the shawl symmetrical but on the other hand it is asymmetrical because of its form.
The pattern also contains the instructions for a symmetrical version. This means, that the garter stitch part will be decreased until there is only 1 stitch of this part left. This means that the shawl does not have two tips, but only one.

The pattern contains a photo tutorial for the first few rows of the Fibonacci lace part of the shawl to get you started with the lace pattern. It also contains a chart for the first few rows of the Fibonacci lace part of the shawl.
The pattern also contains instructions to make a symmetrical or a asymmetrical version of the shawl.

Level: Intermediate

Gauge:
21 stitches x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm (garter stitch)

Width of the shawl:
approximately 80 cm (measured at the widest part of the shawl)

Length of the shawl:
approximately 200 cm (measured from one tip to the other)

Materials:
1 circular needle 3,5 mm (100 cm), tapestry needle, stitch marker

300 g Soft Sock (400 m / 100g) by RockTheWool (I used the colorway „Krümelchen“)
